Privacy Policy
How Ascendoria collects, uses, and protects your data.
Last updated: 2026-10 · Version: 1.0
1. Data We Collect
We collect account information (name, email, role), profile data (skills, portfolio, experience), transaction data (payments, withdrawals, balances), communication data (messages you exchange on the platform), and technical data (IP address, device, activity logs). Payment card data is never stored on our servers — it is handled entirely by our payment provider.
2. Why We Use It
To provide platform services, verify identity, process payments, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, maintain audit trails, send notifications, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Storage & Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are bcrypt-hashed. Uploaded files use private storage with signed, expiring access URLs. Secrets are stored server-side only. Access is governed by role-based access control. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed fully secure, but we apply reasonable, appropriate measures and monitor for suspicious activity.
4. Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only with the providers necessary to operate (payment processing, email delivery, hosting, verification) under confidentiality obligations, and when required by law or by a competent authority. Their own policies may also apply to their processing.
5. Retention & Account Deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active. Financial records, dispute records, and audit logs are retained as required by law and platform policies, and certain obligations (payments, disputes, confidentiality) may survive account closure. You may request account deletion and data erasure through support, subject to legal retention obligations.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and optional analytics to improve the platform. See the Cookie Policy for details. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data, manage notification and privacy settings, and contact us about privacy matters. Certain rights may be mandatory under your local law and are honored to the extent required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
Ascendoria is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and accounts found to belong to minors will be terminated.
