Contest Terms
Rules governing contests on Ascendoria.
Last updated: 2026-10 · Version: 1.0
1. Organizer Obligations
The contest owner defines the prize, duration, deadlines, participation terms, judging method and criteria, intellectual-property terms, AI policy, and submission rules. Ascendoria does not process, hold, guarantee, or distribute contest prize payments; prize amounts are informational only and any payment is arranged directly between the organizer and the winner outside the platform. Basic contest terms must not be changed after participation begins in a way that harms participants, except where platform policies and circumstances allow.
2. Participation
By submitting an entry, participants confirm their work is original (or their team's), accept the contest rules and IP terms, and comply with the project's AI policy. Entries may be restricted by verification, rating, project-history, or country requirements defined by the organizer and enforced automatically by the platform.
3. Winners & Prizes
Winners are selected according to the contest's declared method (client, jury, community, or combined). Prize amounts are arranged directly between the organizer and the winners outside Ascendoria. Manipulating contests, submitting fake entries, or creating fake ratings leads to disqualification and account action.
4. Cancellation & Disputes
If a contest is cancelled, its status and history are preserved. Ascendoria does not refund contest prizes because it does not process or hold them — any prize arrangements between the organizer and participants are handled outside the platform. Contest-related disagreements may be handled through the Dispute Center under the Dispute Resolution Policy.
