Ownership rules for work and content, and how to report infringement.
Last updated: 2026-10 · Version: 1.0
1. Ownership
Users retain ownership of the work they create unless they expressly agree otherwise. Ownership of project deliverables transfers only as agreed between the parties (e.g., upon payment) and in accordance with applicable law — transfer is never automatic by mere use of the platform. Ascendoria does not claim ownership of users' work merely for hosting it, and only receives the technical license needed to operate the services.
2. Prohibited
Stealing or copying work without the right to use it, copyright and trademark infringement, selling content you have no right to sell, using stock assets or open-source material contrary to their licenses, and presenting AI-generated work as original where the project forbids it.
3. Reporting Infringement
Rights holders may report suspected infringement through the platform's reporting tools, including identification of the infringed work, the reported content, and their relationship to the rights. Ascendoria reviews reports and takes appropriate action in accordance with the law and its policies, which may include removing content and account measures.
4. Portfolio & Confidential Work
Freelancers may display delivered work in their portfolio only where the agreement or law allows; confidential projects and NDA-protected material must not be publicly displayed. Confidential information shared between parties should be used only for the purpose it was shared for.
